1. ECPR Standing Group on Gender and Politics

 

The Standing Group on Gender and Politics was founded in 1985  Queen's University Belfast, Belfast, Northern Ireland. ECPR aims to bring together scholars engaged in cutting-edge research on a wide range of topics related to gender and politics. It currently has 300 members from all over the world (http://www.essex.ac.uk/ecpr/standinggroups/ecpg_home.aspx). 2.-Electronic Resource Women's Information and Documentation (REWINDNET)

 

REWIND NET is the network of women's information and documentation centers from 14 countries. The network offers  the results of the  particular projects to promote sensitivity to gender equality and impact policy makers, activists, the media, researchers, and scholars. REWIND NET pursues its objectives through: lobbying policy and decision-makers and/or organise campaigns on aligning national policy with EU accession criteria on gender issues, strengthening capacity and share resources (thematic, human, financial, information, best practices, lessons learned) in different specialised areas of expertise in support of engendering policy and decision-making and legislation.    REWIND NET uses  electronic and printed media as a tool in support of reaching its objectives. 3. Empowering Education EENET

 

The network is created in Ukraine in 1997 and covers Azerbaijan, Georgia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, irgistan, Lithuania, Moldova, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan. EENET trains young people and children  gender equality through interactive techniques. Azerbaijan presents national  branch of EEN. 4. International Coalition of Women Human Rights Defenders

 

International Coalition of Women Human Rights Defenders (ICWHRD Network) is coalition of organizations and individuals that works to ensure gender equality, monitors the implementation of international agreements and international standards at national level (e.g. PFA, Outcome documents of Beijing+5, CEDAW, others). ICWHRD Network lobbies for the needs and concerns of women at all levels of decision-making.    Azerbaijan   is represented in this coalition by the Society for Protection   Women's Rights after named Dilara Aliyeva. 5. Karat Coalition

 

KARAT is a regional coalition of organizations and individuals that works to ensure gender equality in the CEE/CIS countries.  KARAT ppromotes   gender-responsive policy, decision-making and alignment of national policy and legislation in all countries in the Region with international standards and agreements and contribute to the stability and peace in the Region. 8. NETWORK DEVELOPMENT OF GENDER  EDUCATION IN THE COUNTRIES CIS

 

NET  includes Institute Social and Gender Policy  (Russia),  OSI Women's Programs of  Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, Kyrghyzstan, Tadjikistan, Feministic League of Kazakhstan, the Gender Program of Embassy of Switzerland in Uzbekistan.

The basic goal  of the  NET  to develop  of regional cooperation, the professional approach in carrying out of researches and teaching in the field of gender researches, creation and expansion of a subregional network of gender researches with the purpose of support of researchers, an information educational exchange and an exchange of editions. 9. Network on monitoring of trafficking of women and violence against women in South Caucasus (WRMG)

12. THE DEMOCRATIC YOUTH NETWORK

13. THE NETWORK OF EAST-WEST WOMEN - POLSKA / NEWW

 

With members in more than 30 countries  NEWW connects women's advocates in who work in partnership to promote women's rights and to strengthen women's role within civil society. NEWW members represent all strata of society - human rights activists, writers, students, journalists, lawyers, parliamentarians, professors, artists, union organizers, health care workers and feminist activists. NEWW's overarching goal is to support the formation of independent women's movements and to strengthen the capacities of women and women's NGOs to influence policy regarding women's lives. 14. Women Against Violence Europe

WAVE  is a network of 4000 European women's non-governmental organisations working in the field of combating violence against women and children (women's refuges, IDPs- women  counselling centres, SOS hotlines/help lines, organisations focusing on prevention and training, etc.). 16. Women's International League for Peace and Freedom

Women's International League for Peace and Freedom (Peace Women) engages in outreach efforts on Resolution 1325 and related women, peace and security issues, including presentations, seminars and workshops for high schools, universities, and other public sphere. VIRTUAL MUSEIM

AGIC promotes creating the history of civil society and those initiations by studying womans public activity in the end of XIX - the beginning of XX centuries. The collection of the visual evidences and oral reminiscences allows not only to recalled the events, become utterly absorbed in the atmosphere that reigned at that time but also to comprehend, understand how and what efforts were demanded for establishing of Caucasus womens rights. The information collected here will serve also as a supporting material for teachers, historians and researchers working in the sphere of womans and gender problems. They will get an opportunity of using these unique documents as historical references, visual and oral evidences.




EUROPEAN WOMENS THESAURUS

The European Womens Thesaurus is the tool for definition and search of the "female" information in databanks, the Internet and the collection of womens libraries, the documentary centers and archives. The European Womens Thesaurus contains 2087 European terms.

In the Azerbaijan version of the Thesaurus are brought 589 terms reflecting sociopolitical realities of the Azerbaijan society, national and Islamic culture.




GENDER DIRECTORY

is the data-base of all the national actors involved in women's and gender issues work. The data base supposes to include the gender focal points: State agencies, National parliament, Business sector, Mass media outlets, International organizations, functioning in Azerbaijan, Funding institutions, functioning in Azerbaijan,Diplomatic corps, functioning in Azerbaijan, the individual actors (individual feminists, writers and poets, artists, scientific womens rights lawyers). Attention! The directory is connected by links to databases of womens NGOs (both registered and non-registered), NGOs carrying out gender projects, researchers and teachers.




AZERBAIJAN STATE COMMITTEE ON FAMILY, WOMAN AND CHILD PROBLEMS

In Azerbaijan by initiative of the President Ilham Aliev in accordance with Presidential Decree dated by 6 of February 2006 State Committee on Family, Women and Children issues has been established. Chairwoman of the Committee is Mrs. Khidjran Guseynova. She is the professor of the Baku State University and the first woman- the doctor of political sciences in Azerbaijan
